Determining where and how to submit your trading and sports cards can be a daunting task. We are in a whole new era of the hobby. Where you submit your cards can really make a difference in the value and appearance of your cards.
So where to submit? This really depends on what cards you have and the current condition of your submissions. For example, one grading company may be stronger for corners, another for surface. One could be stronger for modern and other for vintage.
We don't have all the answers but we would like to help you find them. Here is a comparison of the three major trading and sports card grading companies:
PSA is arguably the largest and most respected third-party authentication and grading company. Authentication is the process of verifying the originality or genuineness of a trading card.

PSA's grading service assesses the quality and condition of a trading card using PSA’s 10-point grading scale. Grading can only take place after a trading card has been deemed authentic.
Whether vintage, modern or TCG (Trading Card Game), PSA authenticates and grades cards throughout the hobby.
As the historical "underdog" in the grading game - SGC has become one of the most trusted grading and authentication services for sports memorabilia collectors. Like the other two, SGC also uses a 10-point scale.

Beckett Grading Services provides a simple 1 to 10-point grading scale, with increments of a half point (for example 10, 9.5, 9, 8.5, etc.). They provide a detailed report on your card's key characteristics.

Top-graded cards are identifiable at a glance by gold colored labels. A gold label on the front of the unique cardholder signifies the highest graded cards. A silver label graces cards graded 8.5 to 9. Cards in all other grades are identified with a distinctive white label.
